“Russian Peat Company” presented its book about peat

On July 29, RPC LLC published the book “Interesting about peat,” which provides basic information about the fossil fuel. The authors were Nikolay Grevtsev, Alexander Semin and Irina Grevtseva – specialists in the field of peat.

The book is presented in the form of a popular science publication that will be useful not only for the professional community, but also for gardeners, agricultural workers, and summer residents. Its goal is to popularize the peat industry in Russia and show how relevant and environmentally friendly the use of organic fertilizers is.

“Russia ranks first in world peat reserves. Our country has, according to various estimates, from 40 to 60% of the entire planet’s peat. It is very important not only to use this rich resource, but also to educate ordinary citizens, talk about the wealth of our country and instill an interest in nature. And we consider this one of the goals of our work,” said Sergei Merzlyakov, General Director of rpc LLC.

The book tells in an accessible language about the resources of the planet, methods of extracting peat, methods of its use and various scientific research. The main task of the work is to give the most important information to those who know nothing about peat.

“We tried to talk about peat not as something complex, accessible only to specialists, but as something that concerns everyone who lives on our planet. Knowing the features of this fertilizer, understanding where it comes from and how it works is important for anyone who wants to grow at least one cucumber in their dacha. It’s not scary to start if there is a textbook, which we created,” shared Alexander Semin, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics, one of the authors of the book.

The popular science publication will help you open a peat business, get to know the natural ecosystem better, and simply broaden your horizons. And the given diagrams, graphs, tables and pictures will make the material more accessible and understandable.
