Peat soil for greenhouses is intended for use in a greenhouse for direct planting of plants, as well as as a complete or partial replacement of soil in a greenhouse. Suitable for growing all universal plants.
Growing plants from seeds is a great way to prepare for the start of the season. With proper lighting and simple equipment, it is easy to grow seedlings at home. Making, for example, a microgreenhouse on a windowsill is quite simple from scrap materials.
A microgreenhouse can be made from scrap materials – pots, plastic containers, bottles, jars, egg trays and cups of yogurt.
Everything is extremely simple – cut the bottle in half and cover the plants with the resulting halves. Such microgreenhouses are used for young seedlings that have not reached large sizes. In the same way, for better germination, you can cover the sown seeds.
You can also use a large 8 liter plastic bottle. You need to cut off the bottom, add soil, plant the seeds and water them. The dome shape provides soil moisture in the greenhouse through condensation, which reduces the need for watering.
As experience has shown, bottles perfectly retain heat, protecting seedlings from spring frosts, retain moisture, and protect against attacks of all kinds of pests.
If plants are cold, their growth slows down. A simple solution to ensure good growth of seedlings in cold weather is to make a microgreenhouse before the start of the season.
To have early seedlings of your own production on a suburban plot, you can use the method suggested in the photo.
To describe the process briefly, dark plastic bottles with water are placed between the rows of sown seeds. During the day, the sun’s rays manage to warm it up a little. At night, the bed is covered with film, the water in the bottles slowly cools, giving off heat to the seeds. The bed is fenced with boards on which the film is fixed.
Another advantage of such a greenhouse is that the bottles serve as support for the film, preventing it from lying tightly on the ground and interfering with air access. When the seeds sprout and the sprouts grow a little, it will be possible to place the bottles vertically and lay the film on them.
