Application in landscape design and gardening
- Orchids. The composition of the substrate for growing orchids certainly includes pieces of pine bark. Phalaenopsis and other orchids love loose, dry, air-rich soil.
- Mulching. This method has proven to be an easy way to saturate the soil with nutrients, reduce the number of weeds and reduce the frequency of watering. It is recommended to mulch the beds after the snow has completely melted and the top layer of soil has dried out in the spring, but not earlier than May, and also in the fall to protect against the oncoming cold. In September, treatment is carried out to preserve beneficial microflora in the soil, in November or early December – for insulation.
- Filling paths in flower beds, between beds, and in recreation areas for decorative purposes. The choice of pine bark for garden paths is explained by the fact that it slowly breaks down and decomposes, so it allows you to do without renewal and replenishment for a long time covering layer.
- Decoration of rose gardens and alpine slides.
- Composting mixed with various fertilizers.
