During May 2020, 28,438.58 m3 of peat were extracted from the Chistoye deposit using mechanical and pneumatic methods.
“Torfyanaya Polyana” belongs to LLC “EKOPROM”, is a subsidiary of the “Russian Peat Company” and is engaged in peat extraction.
Before the opening of the season, which took place on May 11, 170 hectares of working areas of milled peat were prepared, and work was carried out to deepen cart and shaft canals with a total length of more than 80 km.
The extracted peat is suitable for the production of both substrates for the professional and amateur markets. Peat moisture content is 45-65%, and bulk density is 140-300 kg/m3. The high quality of peat is also due to the use of modern Finnish and Canadian equipment from industry leading brands: Valtra, PremierTech and Suokone.
The extracted peat meets the most stringent standards. It will be used to fertilize the soil – soon the harvest will please professionals and amateurs.
