rpc Group of Companies is launching a new project – the largest blueberry nursery in Russia in the Smolensk region. And in addition to the first seedlings that have already arrived at the nursery, organizational work is in full swing: installing irrigation systems, a 6,000 m3 water storage tank, building roads and improving infrastructure. The best varieties of world selection were brought: BlueCrop, Duke, Elliot, Toro, Bonus, BlueGold, which are distinguished by frost resistance, berry size and harvest volumes. With proper care, blueberry bushes from our nursery will bear fruit for more than 40 years, and it will be possible to collect up to 9 kg of berries from one bush per season!
It is also planned to organize an eco-village, which will be represented by an eco-hotel, a blueberry museum, a cafe with blueberry-based dishes, themed quests, master classes on the preparation of cosmetics, dishes, and eco-crafts. On the territory of the eco-village there will be a children’s club for teaching agricultural professions and a blueberry festival will be held.
