On May 19–20, 2022, the annual Berry Exhibition and Conference was held in the Semisosny agricultural estate, in the Brest region of the Republic of Belarus. The event brought together under its roof representatives of leading farms, nurseries, berry growers, representatives of the garden blogosphere, as well as other companies involved in the berry industry in Belarus and Russia.
For one and a half days, participants, as part of a lively discussion, were able to exchange real experience and technologies for cultivating, growing, harvesting, packaging and processing fruit and berry crops – apples, pears, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, watermelons and even asparagus. Particular attention at the conference was paid to highbush blueberries, as the most popular berry over the past few years.
The second half of the exhibition day was devoted to excursions to the leading farms in the region: Berkeley Farm and Bozhi Dar Farm. On the plantations, in the company of colleagues, we were able to clearly see all the nuances and secrets of berry growing both in open ground and in greenhouse conditions.
The Russian Peat Company and the BerryCo nursery were represented at the event by the head of the PR and advertising department, S. A. Solovyeva, and the BerryCo project manager, D. A. Mikhalev. Colleagues actively adopted the experience of foreign partners in growing blueberries, and also presented products produced by the rpc Group – agropeat and mineral fertilizers.
