The problems of recycling solid waste in urban conditions and the possibility of using organic fertilizers for reclamation of landfill soils were discussed at the round table “On the elimination of accumulated environmental damage from the use of landfills and other objects of technogenically disturbed soils,” which was organized by the Committee on the Agro-Industrial Complex and Development of the Agricultural Industry of the MRO “ Business Russia”. Representatives of the Russian Peat Company Group of Companies also took part in its work.
The event was moderated by Committee Chairman Sergei Merzlyakov. Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Svetlana Zhurova addressed the participants with welcoming words.
Svetlana Solovyova, Head of PR and Advertising at rpc Group, spoke about the recycling of solid waste and the elimination of landfills using organic components.
Deputy Head of the Directorate for Support of the National Project “Ecology” and Organization of Project Activities of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources Tatyana Polyanskaya spoke about Federal projects related to waste management. And the scientific director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “VNII Ecology” Alexander Solovyanov spoke about the technologies used for the reclamation of technologically disturbed lands to eliminate accumulated harm to the environment.”
Issues of improving the Institute of NVOS (negative impact on the environment) based on the results of the implementation of the FP “Clean Country” 2019-2020: challenges and prospects became the topic of the speech of the Co-Chairman-State Secretary of the Ecological Chamber of Russia, member of the Academic Council of the All-Russian Research Institute of Ecology of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, Head of the project office federal project “Clean Country” national project “Ecology” (2019-2020) by Vadim Petrov. And Yuri Khasanov, acceleration director of the Energy Efficient Technologies Cluster of the Skolkovo Foundation, introduced participants to innovative technologies for reducing environmental damage from landfills and monitoring the environmental situation.
The round table participants also discussed the importance and application of technologies for separate waste collection in the process of landfill reclamation, as well as the use of environmental standards in the enterprise’s strategy for the restoration of technogenically disturbed lands.
