The 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2021) was held from June 2 to 5. SPIEF 2021 became the world’s first and largest in-person business event after a forced break due to the coronavirus pandemic. The forum was held in a traditional format using modern digital technologies. Officials, political and public figures, and business representatives from 141 countries came to St. Petersburg to participate in the Forum. The delegate from the Russian Peat Company Group of Companies was Sergey Merzlyakov, General Director of rpc LLC.
The Forum’s motto is “Together again. The Economy of a New Reality” demonstrated the public demand for face-to-face discussions to achieve breakthrough ideas in the world.
During numerous discussions, priority topics for the successful development of the country and increasing Russia’s competitiveness in world markets were discussed – energy, ecology, development of the Arctic, drug safety, creative industries, support for small and medium-sized businesses, education.
